Noreen Reed — Dining Services Director
Caliche Senior Living offers an option for every appetite with ever-changing menus featuring upscale selections and comfort food favorites. This dynamic kitchen needs a talented professional at the helm who can do it all. With more than 30 years of experience, Dining Services Director and Executive Chef Noreen Reed is just that person.
Leaders are only as great as their teams and Chef Noreen inspires her expert culinary team who brings deep experiences and a love of food to the community, along with their passion for fresh concepts and flavors. She honed her craft through an impressive series of roles in kitchens of all types before finding her niche in health care, specializing in creating nutritious, delicious dishes. Prior to joining Caliche Senior Living, she worked in casinos, high-end steak houses, a hospital, senior living communities and as a private chef. For Chef Noreen, cooking is a passion and an art that when done well elicits emotions and strengthens memories for diners.
Her first dish was cinnamon scrambled eggs with shell and blackened toast created for her parents when she was just six years old. Thanks to her parents, Chef Noreen explored different foods growing up, and she spent weekends watching Julia Childs, Jacques Pépin and her favorite, Martin Yan, dreaming of attending Le Cordon Bleu. In 2004, she graduated from this prestigious international chain of hospitality and culinary schools and the rest, as they say, is history.
Today she capitalizes on her passion to help Caliche Senior Living residents relive all of their warmest memories while making new ones. Her exemplary efforts were acknowledged in 2019 with the Silver Award for Excellence in Food Service presented by the Crandall Corporate Dietitians, Tucson, AZ.
Chef Noreen and her team are committed to delivering outstanding flavor-rich food and unparalleled service to the residents who call Caliche Senior Living home as well as their families and guests.
